FIR of mob attack on food chain’s outlet registered
The Defence police station on Wednesday registered a case following an attack on an international food chain’s restaurant in the Defence Housing Authority’s Khayaban-e-Ittehad area.
On Tuesday, a group of unruly individuals had caused significant damage to the restaurant. The complaint was lodged by a restaurant employee, who accused the group of rioting, damaging property, and committing other related offences. The case named between 30 and 35 unidentified individuals.
The complainant stated that while working at the restaurant, they noticed a group of people armed with sticks approaching. These individuals proceeded to break the glass and damage the furniture and TV inside the restaurant. Upon stepping outside, the complainant observed that windows of a nearby pizza franchise had also been shattered.
During the chaos, the police arrived, causing the aggressive individuals to flee. However, some suspects were arrested at the scene. The police were working to trace additional suspects with the help of footage and videos.
