Balochistan lawyers’ leaders call on Shehbaz
Meeting, part of ongoing consultations to address Balochistan’s challenges, was also attended by Federal Law Minister
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to take all necessary measures for restoring peace in Balochistan during a meeting with Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
The meeting, part of ongoing consultations to address Balochistan’s challenges, was also attended by Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar. The SCBA president was accompanied by Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Mir Attaullah Langove and Balochistan Bar Council member Khalil Panezai.
The prime minister emphasised resolving issues through democratic means. The SCBA chief informed Shehbaz about his consultations with major political stakeholders to engage with BNP-Mengal and other protesting groups. The SCBA president appreciated government efforts to control electricity prices and assured support for initiatives promoting economic sovereignty.
