Efforts launched to end intra-PTI differences
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai has launched efforts to resolve the differences within the party, sources told Geo News on Friday.
He met with PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar to discuss reconciliation efforts, sources added. Shaukat Yousafzai requested Junaid Akbar to end differences with KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Junaid Akbar responded positively to the request but shared his concerns with Shaukat Yousafzai.Encouraged by that, Shaukat Yousafzai decided to hold a meeting with the chief minister to discuss the party differences. The sources said efforts would be made to convince the chief minister to end the differences, sources added.
When contacted by this correspondent, Shaukat Yousafzai said the party’s internal differences must be resolved to secure the early release of the PTI founder, Imran Khan. He confirmed having met Junaid Akbar to address the party’s internal issues.
