Lack of will?
By News Desk

This letter refers to the article ‘A hard state’ (March 21, 2025) by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. I believe our problem is not uncertainty about what to do but a lack of will to do the necessary. This is a natural consequence of expecting the people who are part of the problem to work towards its solution. We know that while the security forces had fully implemented their part of the National Action Plan, the civilian government failed to do so. Also, it is understood that the lax policies of the PTI government towards terrorists contributed to the problems we now face. The PTI still appears to believe in this approach, which makes a political consensus almost impossible.
