75,000 cops perform security duties on Jumatul Wida

LAHORE:Punjab Police remained on high alert and provided enhanced security to mosques, Imambargahs, and places of worship on Juma-tul-Wida.
Around 75,000 police officials and community volunteers were deployed. A total of 36,000 mosques, 2,267 Imambargahs, and 600 minority religious sites received heightened protection, with over 200 walk-through gates and 14,000 metal detectors in place at sensitive locations. The security measures aim to ensure a peaceful conclusion to Ramazan, supported by patrols from the Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite Teams around religious sites and local markets.
