Noor into quarters of Liverpool Open

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Noor Zaman has moved into the quarterfinals of the $15,000 Liverpool Cricket Club Squash Open in England. After getting bye in the first round, eighth seed Noor defeated Rowan Damming from Netherlands 11-9, 15-13, 3-11, 11-8 in 53 minutes in the second round on Thursday.
Now, he will face Edwin Clain from France in the quarters. However, sixth seed Ashab Irfan lost to Toufik Mekhalfi from France 10-12, 4-11, 11-4, 6-11 in 57 minutes in the second round.
