Jail authorities said the incarcerated man hanged himself in a washroom of the jail. The Malir Jail administration stated that investigations were under way regarding the circumstances of the suicide. The prisoner had been shifted to the District Jail Malir on February 17, 2022.
According to District Jail Malir Superintendent Arshad Shah, the Indian man committed suicide between the night of March 24 and 25.
