Eid holidays in schools from tomorrow
LAHORE:School Education Department (SED) Punjab and Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab on Wednesday announced Eid holidays starting from tomorrow (March 28, 2025).
According to the SED notification, all public schools will remain closed till April 6. Meanwhile, annual results in public schools will be announced on April 4. Interestingly, the SED notification did not mention Eid holidays schedule for private schools as most of the schools do not follow SED Punjab’s academic calendar. Sources in the SED Punjab, however, said some private schools would likely reopen on April 3 while the rest on April 7 like the public schools. As per the HED Punjab notification, Eid holidays will be observed from March 28, to April 2 in all public and private colleges across the province.
UET Eid holidays from 31st
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, including all its campuses and affiliated colleges, will remain closed from March 31 (Monday), to April 4 (Friday), in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. A UET spokesperson said that the university would reopen on April 7 (Monday ). Any additional holidays will be adjusted through compensatory work on Saturdays, when required.
