Charity says over 2000 needy people avail free Iftar
PESHAWAR: A group of young volunteers has been arranging free Iftar meals for the poor people since the start of the holy month of Ramazan.
According to the volunteers of the Fixit, a not for profit initiative, said that over 2000 needy people were availing the facility of free Iftar meal on daily basis.
The organisers said that the Fixit had launched the initiative about four years ago at Saddar
Bazaar in the city and it had now extended the programme to 11 other cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They said that they had launched the free Iftar at Abbottabad, Malakand, Swat, Buner, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Takhtbhai, Kohat, Bannu, Hangu where over hundreds of needy people showed up at the free Iftar meal on daily basis.
They said the free Iftar would continue till chaand raat.They said that over 2000 needy people attend the free Iftar Dastarkhwan daily while 100 volunteers hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds offered their free services.
