3 killed in Parachinar in grenade blast
PARACHINAR: Three persons were killed and another injured when a grenade exploded in an under-construction house near Turi Graveyard here on Saturday.
City Police Station SHO Ishtiaq Hussain said that drug addicts had taken shelter in the under-construction house. During a gathering, an argument broke out among them, leading to one of them pulling the pin of a grenade, which then exploded. The explosion resulted in the immediate deaths of three persons.
A young man, identified as Syed Jawad, sustained injuries and was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Parachinar for medical treatment. Another person, named Shabab, was arrested from the house, and authorities have begun questioning him regarding the incident.
“The explosion took place in the morning, and police are continuing their investigation to determine further details and the exact circumstances that led to the deadly blast,” said an official.
