I want to bring attention to the alarming garbage disposal issue in Malir, Karachi. Piles of uncollected waste have become a common sight in streets and residential areas, creating an unhygienic environment and serious health risks. The municipal corporation and Sindh government have failed to ensure proper waste management, leaving residents to suffer.
The lack of an organised waste-management system leads to improper disposal, clogged drains, and the spread of diseases. In many areas, waste remains uncollected for weeks, attracting stray animals and worsening pollution. I urge the authorities to take immediate action by strengthening municipal waste collection, increasing sanitation staff and ensuring timely garbage disposal.
