PTI calls for united action against terrorism
Gohar says that if Imran could not be allowed to attend briefing, then they should have permitted them to have meeting with their leader
ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan Wednesday said there should be a consensus approach to dealing with terrorism.
Talking to journalists here, he emphasized that there was a need to adopt a common narrative against terrorism and everyone must be on the same page against it. He advocated that action against terrorism should be taken without discrimination.
Gohar said they had earlier proposed that instead of giving a briefing to a committee, the session of the National Assembly and Senate be held on the subject. About his party’s decision to stay away from the National Security Committee meeting, he contended that it was a party decision with a principled viewpoint as how could the most popular leader be kept out of the meeting.
Gohar continued that if Imran could not be allowed to attend the briefing, then they should have permitted them to have a meeting with their leader.
