ISLAMABAD: In the case of negative propaganda on social media, PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) with her counsel, JIT sources said Wednesday.
According to sources, Aleema Khan was summoned last Friday, but she did not appear due to personal engagements. On Friday, her lawyer, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, appeared before the JIT on her behalf.
It is worth mentioning that the JIT was formed under Section 30 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, under the leadership of IG Islamabad. The JIT also possesses evidence regarding the summoned leaders.
Aleema Khan appeared before the JIT after being summoned for the third time and left without speaking to the media. Sources indicate that the JIT questioned her for two hours on social media accounts.
