KARACHI: Strom Warriors defeated Super Kings by 4 wickets in the Round 5 match of the AKG Premier League Season 2 Cricket Tournament at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground.
Securing 4 victories in 5 matches, they topped the points table with 8 points.
Super Kings batted first and managed 173 for 9 in the allotted 20 overs. Imran Mehboob made 42 runs off 29 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. Amin Akbar Ali scored 29 runs off 21 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes, while Shahbaz Karim scored 27 runs and Khurram Shehzad added 22 runs from just 10 balls, including 3 fours and one six.
Captain Hamid Ali took 2 wickets for 28 runs.
Strom Warriors chased the target for the loss of 6 wickets. Opener Naseeb Noor Ali played an outstanding knock of 56 runs off 42 balls, hitting 8 boundaries. Amir Hayyat provided great support, scoring 45 runs off 33 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.
