LAHORE: A dispatcher (Naib Qasid) of Lahore High Court (LHC) Judge Justice Jawad Hassan ended his life by shooting himself with an official rifle.
The deceased, identified as Hasnain, had been serving Justice Jawad Hassan for 25 years. According to eyewitnesses, after Sehri, Hasnain asked a police officer to hand over his rifle and leave the room. He then locked himself inside and took his own life.
Upon learning of the incident, Justice Jawad Hassan immediately departed from Rawalpindi to Lahore, while the LHC registrar and additional registrar protocol also arrived at the judge’s residence.
Justice Jawad Hassan is currently serving at the LHC Rawalpindi bench. Authorities are investigating the incident.
