LAHORE:The dramatic twist in the Raiwind police officer’s alleged sexual assault case has ended with the accuser and her witnesses facing legal action for filing a false report.

According to officials, a woman had accused police officer Arsalan and his accomplices of sexually assaulting her daughter and niece while also recording videos of the alleged crime. Based on her complaint, a case was registered, and Arsalan was arrested.

However, during the investigation, the complainant and the alleged victims refused to undergo DNA testing. In a surprising turn, they later presented a reconciliation agreement in court, stating that Arsalan and his associate Atif were not involved in any wrongdoing.

Senior police officials stated that the false rape allegation not only misled the authorities but also wasted crucial investigative resources. They emphasised that the complainant and her witnesses had fabricated the charges for personal motives. As a result, the Raiwind City Police Station has now booked the woman and two witnesses under sections of the Anti-Rape Act for lodging a false case. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to justice, stating that while sexual assault allegations must be taken seriously, those who attempt to manipulate the legal system for personal gain will face strict consequences.
