Kalat attack FC soldier martyred as woman suicide bomber hits convoy
Habib Babai, local police official, also confirmed toll to AFP, no group has claimed attack
QUETTA: A woman suicide bomber targeted a convoy of Pakistani paramilitary troops in Balochistan on Monday, killing at least one soldier and injuring four others, officials said.
“At least one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed, and four others were injured when a female suicide bomber targeted an FC convoy in Kalat district,” a senior administration official Bilal Shabbir told AFP.
Habib Babai, a local police official, also confirmed the toll to AFP. No group has claimed the attack. -- AFP Our correspondent adds from Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide blast. She paid tribute to the immortal sacrifice of the sepoy who embraced martyrdom. She prayed for an early recovery of those personnel who got injured in the blast.
