Leader sees conspiracy to defame PTI
MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Peshawar Region Information Secretary Adil Nawaz on Sunday said that a conspiracy was being hatched to defame PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“False allegations, conspiracies and other tactics are being used to weaken the party but these attempts will fail,” he said while speaking at a press conference at the Mardan Press Club.PTI District General Secretary Ayaz Safi, Senior Vice President Haroon Khan, Tehsil Mardan President Ilyas Toru and others were present.
Adil Nawaz said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers hold ministers accountable and till date no minister had been proven guilty of corruption. He added thatProvincial Minister Zahir Shah was making reforms to bring transparency in the Food Department, but an attempt was being made to damage his reputation by making baseless allegations against him.
He said that an attempt was being made to suppress the party leadership, elders and women workers by putting them in jail on false allegations of May 9. “We will go to any extent and take every legal path to seek the release of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder,” he said, adding the PTI was the largest political party in Pakistan and the attempts to break the leadership and weaken the workers would prove fruitless.
