Efforts urged to enhance pedagogical skills, foster innovation

CHARSADDA: Experts here on Sunday called for concerted efforts to enhance pedagogical skills, foster innovation, and equip faculty members with the latest advancements in their respective fields.

They were speaking at the concluding ceremony of the NAHE’s National Outreach Programme for Faculty Development at Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC).Prof Dr Zahid Hussain, Vice Chancellor BKUC, highlighted the programme’s transformative influence, noting that it provided early career faculty with innovative teaching methodologies, promoted collaborative practices, and enhanced the overall learning experience for students.

Dr Asher Samuel Bhatti, Director, Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), gave insights into NAHE’s efforts to modernize education within higher education institutions. Dr. Asher also shared insights on NAHE’s this program aims to enhance pedagogical skills, foster innovation, and equip faculty members with the latest advancements in their respective fields.

Sulaiman Ahmad, Director NAHE, said that the National Faculty Development Programme was designed to enhance pedagogical skills, foster innovation and equip faculty members with the latest advancements in their respective fields.

He provided a brief overview on various HEC policies, i.e. the Policy for Students with Disabilities, the Policy on Drug and Tobacco Abuse, and the Policy on Protection against Sexual Harassment in Higher Education Institutions.

Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director (Curriculum) delivered a concise lecture on the “Undergraduate Education Policy.” Dr Asher Samuel Bhatti, Director ORIC, Sulaiman Ahmad, Director NAHE, and Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director (Curriculum) distributed certificates among participants.
