PBC elects Ahsan Bhoon as JCP member
14 members cast their votes in favour Bhoon, four in favour of Tahir Faraz Abbassi
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on Wednesday elected Ahsan Bhoon as Member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) for two years.
A meeting of Pakistan Bar Council was held here in the Supreme Court chaired by Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, the Chairman of the council.
The agenda of the meeting was to nominate Bar Council representative in the Judicial Commission of Pakistan. During the meeting, 14 members cast their votes in favour of Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon and four in favour of Tahir Faraz Abbassi while one member abstained from voting. The votes were cast by show of hands, says a press release issued here.
The chairman and Returning Officer declared Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon as Member Judicial Commission of Pakistan for a period of two years with effect from February 26, 2025 till February 25, 2027.
