Successful kidney transplant at JHL
LAHORE:A kidney transplant has been done successfully at Jinnah Hospital Lahore (JHL).
According to details, 24-year-old Dr Umair has donated his kidney to his sister Umm Habiba. Patient Umm Habiba Sharjah and Dr Umair came to Pakistan from America for a kidney transplant. Patient Umm Habiba has been discharged from Jinnah Hospital after a successful transplant.
Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, this transplant has been done completely free of cost at Jinnah Hospital. Patient Umm Habiba and her brother donor Dr Umair are both healthy after the transplant, thank God. On this occasion, Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique congratulated Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Professor Asghar Naqi, Head of Urology Professor Naveed Iqbal and MS Jinnah Hospital Lahore Dr Kashif Jahangir.
