PU 3-day book fair starts
LAHORE:Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan inaugurated Pakistan’s largest three-day book fair organised by Punjab University at the IER Corridor, New Campus here on Thursday.
On this occasion, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Ali, deans of various faculties, heads of departments, faculty members, students from schools, colleges and various universities along, children, and thousands of people from all walks of life, were present.
In his address, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that the restoration of book culture was our mission. “The friendship with books was the easiest way and solution to success”.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was encouraging such activities because she is ensuring access to higher education for all. He appreciated PU Vice Chancellor Dr M Ali and his team for a successful event. He said that such book fairs should be held in every university.
