New sports schemes in progress, says secretary
LAHORE:Punjab Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Muzaffar Khan Sial Tuesday said new sports schemes are in progress in all districts of the province.
Addressing a meeting regarding new development sports schemes at Punjab Stadium, the sports secretary said several previous sports schemes are also being restored. He said modern sports infrastructure was being established across the province in accordance with the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister.
Sial said effective steps are being taken for the development of sports culture in all parts of the province with the priority of according best facilities to all talented male and female players.
He said the sports culture will develop to a great extent with the restoration of sports scheme. “Punjab Sports Department is utilising all possible resources and constructing multipurpose sports complexes and grounds for the promotion of sports trends among the younger generation of the province,” he maintained.
Sial directed the officers concerned to ensure the delivery of ATM cards to all internees as early as possible. All the focal persons of Chief Minister Internship Programme have also been ordered to ensure the payments to all internees.
