Women entrepreneurs’ team to boost Pak-UK trade ties
Islamabad:A delegation of Pakistani women entrepreneurs lead by Mazhar Thathal, Chairman of Global Trade Expo Centre Pakistan on a trade mission to Manchester, UK.
The mission was organised in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC) Geneva, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, which was supported by the UK High Commission in Islamabad and funded by the UK Government’s Trade Development Office, says a press release.
Key participants included Saima Ali, Founder and CEO of Mahagoni Fashion Designer (UK-based), Iqra, Director of Spotlight Leather-wears, Dr. Saima Sadiq, CEO of leather jackets, and Naila Rehman, CEO of knitwear textiles. Representing the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce, Lahore Chamber of Commerce, and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, these women demonstrated the strength of Pakistan’s growing export sector, especially in women-led businesses.
