ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to stop the ongoing appointments process of all general and non-core services.
According to sources, the Establishment Division has sent an explanatory letter to federal ministries and divisional heads.
The letter has been written in response to the inquiries made by some ministries and departments. The process of appointments for cleaning, plumbing, gardening in government institutions will be stopped. General and non-core services will be arranged through outsourcing.
Recruitments of security guards, gardeners and sweepers will be stopped immediately while recruitment process for sanitary workers, record sorters, carpenters, electricians and plumbers will be affected. The federal government has already imposed a ban on new recruitments for these posts.
