It gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to my dear brother, His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and members of his esteemed delegation to Pakistan. The enduring fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Turkiye are manifested in the multifaceted relationship that has flourished since the establishment of diplomatic ties between our two countries in 1947.
Pakistan and Turkiye are united by shared history, culture, and values, creating a deep-rooted connection that transcends conventional inter-state relations and diplomatic alliances. This is not just a partnership of states but an abiding belief that is rooted in a deep emotional kinship permeating the lives of our peoples, enduring through generations.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan marks yet another milestone in our historic and fraternal relations. We look forward to convening the 7th session of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) that will set the course for our future strategic partnership.
Throughout our history, Pakistan and Turkiye have always stood by each other during challenging times and on issues of core interest, such as the Kashmir dispute, as well as in our joint efforts in combating terrorism, ensuring regional stability, and facilitating economic growth.
Our collaboration has strengthened in various domains, particularly in defence, trade, investment, education and cultural exchanges. There are numerous opportunities for collaboration between the two countries, both at the G2G as well as B2B level. Looking forward, I am confident that the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye will continue to grow stronger with every passing day.
Our relationship stands as a shining example of solidarity and mutual respect, and it is indeed the need of the hour that Pakistan and Turkiye stand together to grow stronger together and deal with a challenging and increasingly complex global environment.
