QUETTA: A provincial assembly in-camera session regarding the law and order situation in Balochistan will be held today (Monday).
During the session, officials from the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs will brief the members.
According to the details, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti will move a motion under Rule 170 (D) of the Rules of Procedure of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly of 1974. The motion will propose that the assembly chamber be converted into a committee to provide a detailed in-camera briefing to the members of the assembly regarding the law and order situation in the province.
Following the motion, the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs will give a detailed briefing to the assembly members about the security situation in the province. Prior to the session, the Balochistan Assembly Secretariat has directed all the ministers, advisers, parliamentary secretaries and members of the provincial assembly not to bring any persons (PS, PA, or other guests) along with them. This is because, during the in-camera briefing, entry will be restricted to ministers, advisers to the chief minister, parliamentary secretaries, members of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, and officers from departments giving the briefing. No other person will be allowed entry into the Assembly Secretariat.
