PMLN leader blasts PTI’s protest call
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s additional secretary for information Arbab Khizar Hayat has criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for announcing a “Black Day” on February 8.
In a statement, Arbab Khizar Hayat said that the people have grown tired of PTI’s continuous protests, rallies, and sit-ins, which have hindered development in the province. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had lagged behind other provinces in terms of progress and warned that a large segment of the population may be forced to migrate elsewhere if the current situation persists.
He also criticised the newly appointed PTI provincial president, Junaid Akbar, for his statements against state institutions. He praised Pakistan’s security institutions for their sacrifices in protecting the country and denounced PTI leaders for their alleged smear campaigns.Arbab accused PTI leaders of making baseless statements in a desperate attempt to revive the party’s political relevance.
