Tessori lauds JDC’s humanitarian services at laboratory launch
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has inaugurated the Apni Lab, an initiative by the JDC Foundation. Before the inauguration, officials briefed the governor on the lab’s operations and stated that medical tests would be conducted for extremely low charges benefitting middle and lower income groups.
Speaking to the media, Tessori said he had inaugurated the Apni Lab on the invitation of the JDC’s Zafar Abbas. He praised JDC for its commitment to humanitarian causes regardless of race or background. He noted that the JDC ran several welfare projects including a mortuary, free dialysis services, free laboratory tests, Sehri meals and community dining facilities.
The governor informed the media that the JDC’s free laboratory services had conducted millions of tests and a test costing Rs3,000 at other facilities was available at just Rs40 at the JDC. He said the organisation had imported a CT scan machine worth Rs500 million and was offering CT scan at discounted charges. He also lauded Abbas for swiftly responding to any crisis in the city stating that he fully supported the JDC’s philanthropic efforts.
