PU gets Rs5.5m for women boxing talent hunt

LAHORE:Punjab University has received Rs5.5 million grant for organising Prime Minister Youth Programme’s Women Boxing Talent Hunt Programme to be conducted by Punjab University across Punjab province, including cities of Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan and Bahawalpur.
PU Director Sports Dr M Shabbir Sarwar said that with the support and patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Ali, the sports department will continue to play its positive role. He thanked Higher Education Commission’s Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, PU VC Dr M Ali, Executive Director Dr Zia ul Qayyum and Director Sports Javed Memon.
