Azma questions world’s silence on Kashmiris’ bloodshed
Azma says first time in Pakistan’s history, February 5 was being observed with renewed spirit and enthusiasm
LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has questioned why international institutions are lost in deep sleep and remain blind to the bloodshed of Kashmiris.
She emphasized that every Kashmiri still had the hope of freedom, and the purpose of commemorating events like February 5 was to remind the world and international media that Kashmir continued to bleed, facing oppression every passing moment. The so-called champions of Kashmir limit their protests to a mere 15 minutes before retreating into hiding. Apart from Nawaz Sharif, no one has effectively presented the Kashmir issue on the global stage. The government is leading demonstrations in support of Kashmiris, and the PMLN takes credit for always standing by Kashmiris in their right to self-determination. Diplomatic efforts have also been made to support Kashmiris and will continue.
She expressed these views during a press conference at Liberty Chowk. She stated that for the first time in Pakistan’s history, February 5 was being observed with a renewed spirit and enthusiasm.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will personally address a gathering at Liberty Chowk, delivering a message to the international community and media about the lack of serious discourse on Kashmir.
