Leading media and advertising bodies forge alliance for industry growth
KARACHI: In a significant move aimed at boosting the country’s media and advertising sector, four key industry associations -- the Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA), All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS), Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) and Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) -- have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to drive collective growth and foster collaboration.
The agreement marks a pivotal shift in the country’s media and advertising landscape, with all four stakeholders uniting under a shared vision to tackle industry challenges and support sustainable development. This partnership is expected to enhance synergy, transparency and professionalism within the advertising, media and marketing sectors.
The MoU highlights the commitment to addressing regulatory hurdles, improving financial transparency, accelerating digital transformation and upholding ethical standards. By fostering mutual cooperation, the agreement sets a framework to streamline operations and reinforce the ecosystem, positioning Pakistan’s media and advertising industries to align with global benchmarks.
Ahmed Hussain Kapadia, chairperson of PAA, talked about the importance of the partnership, stating, “This alliance is a unified effort to safeguard the interests of our industry and foster an environment where creativity and innovation flourish. Together, we aim to raise the standards of professionalism and ethics while advocating for fair policies and sustainable practices.”
