Army defeat Balochistan in Memorial Polo
LAHORE: The much-anticipated Major General Saeed uz Zaman Janjua Memorial Polo Cup, sponsored by JS Bank, kicked off today at the Jinnah Polo Grounds.
In the opening match, the Army team secured a convincing 10.5-6 victory over Balochistan. A large number of spectators, including families, turned out to witness the exciting match. The event was graced by the presence of Club Secretary Major (Retd.) Ali Timur and JS Bank officials, including Majid Qureshi.
The match between Army and Balochistan proved to be a thrilling encounter, with the Army team eventually emerging victorious. Army, who received a 2.5-goal handicap advantage, dominated the match with Raja Samiullah scoring an impressive seven goals. LD Imran Shahid contributed one goal to the team’s tally. For Balochistan, Raja Mikaeel Sami scored five goals, while Mumtaz Abbas Niazi scored one.
