Play hard

A playground is not just an open space; it is a learning environment where children develop teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Regular physical activity helps combat rising health issues such as obesity and mental stress among students, improving their focus and academic performance. In an era dominated by screens and academic pressure, children are losing out on something vital: the freedom to play.
Unfortunately, many schools prioritise classrooms over play areas, viewing education through a narrow lens. This mindset must change. Schools should be required to allocate space for playgrounds, and the authorities should ensure that urban planning includes recreational spaces for children.
