Over Rs2m approved for cops’ medical treatment

LAHORE: IGP Punjab has approved Rs2.55 million for the medical treatment of police officials and their families battling serious illnesses.

Funds were granted to several officials, including Rs500,000 for ASI M Yaqoob (cancer treatment) and Rs250,000 for retired Assistant Syed Zia Shabbir (blood cancer). Additional allocations ranged from Rs100,000 to Rs215,000 for various officers and their families.
