Police arrest PO in injured condition after encounter

MULTAN: The Qadirpur Raan police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) after an encounter near the Lal Aisan Mor area of Qadirpur police station, Multan. The accused, Mansab Ali alias Sadri, was arrested in an injured condition. He had a record in dozens of robberies and motorcycle thefts, police said.

The Qadirpur police station had set up a roadblock at Lal Aisan Mor at night. Three people riding 125 motorcycles were approaching from Banglawala. The police signalled for the motorcycle riders to stop, but instead of stopping, they turned back. A chase ensued, leading the riders to abandon their motorcycles and flee.
