Balochistan CM announces Rs500 monthly deduction for orphans from salaries of govt employees
Sarfaraz Bugti says philanthropists, ministers, MPAs, and govt employees will cooperate to their ability
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced that monthly 500 rupees will be deducted from the salaries of government employees for orphan children.
He said this on Wednesday while addressing a ceremony held at the Chief Minister Secretariat here.
In the ceremony, the flood victims of the year 2022 were given a gift from Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust and the keys of the houses constructed by the trust were given.
The Chief Minister announced the establishment of a grand institution for orphaned boys and girls in Balochistan and said that the Balochistan government should provide land free of charge for this purpose.
While philanthropists, ministers, members of the assembly, and government employees will cooperate according to their ability, he maintained.
He promised that he himself would also participate in this good deed.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also paid rich tribute to Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) for completing works of 250 houses for flood affected people in Balochistan.
He said that helping people affected by natural disasters was a selfless service to humanity and institutions like Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust were practical manifestation of this service which had completed construction of 250 house for flood affected areas of Balochistan including Quetta City, Mastung, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, and Suhbatpur that was a new ray of hope for the victims.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the Balochistan government would provide all possible support and encouragement to such institutions as these organizations are fulfilling the great duty of humanitarian service.
He expressed his concern over the delay in the federal government’s flood rehabilitation project and said that the victims were still facing difficulties in the areas of Balochistan which we were well aware of them. Chairman Pakistan
People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inquires about the progress of this project in every meeting and directs the immediate rehabilitation of the victims, he said.
The CM said that if the federal government gives us this project, we could complete it in 8 to 9 months under public-private partnership.
He said that according to the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, like the Sindh government, we would also successfully complete this
project in a short period of time.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti appreciated the services of the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust and said that just as the entire nation was united during the Kashmir earthquake, in the same way, today people from Kashmir are coming to help the people of Balochistan.
This beauty of national unity is the distinguishing feature of our beloved homeland, he said.
He said that at that time, the people of Balochistan fulfilled their responsibility and today this organization has
returned the debt of humanitarian service by helping the people of Balochistan.
The Chief Minister paid tribute to all the donors, philanthropists, and volunteers and announced to give appreciation certificates to encourage them.
At the end of his address, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated the resolve that Balochistan is changing and together we would take the province on the path of development.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar highlighted the services of the organization.
Provincial Ministers Mir Muhammad Saleem Khan Khosa, Mir Asim Kurd Gellu, Parliamentary Secretary Haji Barkat Rind, PPP leader Syed Iqbal Shah, Vice Chairman of Balochistan Board of Investment Bilawal Khan Kakar, and Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafqat, among other officials, also attended the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, the chairman of the organization presented souvenirs to the Chief Minister of Balochistan and other distinguished guests.
