Selfish champions

Have any of our parliamentarians ever bothered to check the prices of commodities in their respective constituencies or made even an iota of effort to keep them under control for those who have voted them to power? They don’t remain aloof when the question of increasing their own salaries (300 percent) and perks is concerned. 

They are all one, including the MNAs of the PTI and the religious parties – the champions of the poor and downtrodden. They would never even bother trying to find out how a labourer would make his both ends meet in a mere Rs14,000 a month.
