Traffic diversion plan announced for Youm-e-Ali

The Karachi traffic police on Monday issued a traffic diversion plan for Youm-e-Ali, which will be observed today. The main procession will be taken out at 4pm from the Ghafoor Chamber to Mehfil Shah Khorasan.

In view of the procession, MA Jinnah Road from Tibet Centre to Gurumandar Chowk and surrounding roads will remain closed for security reasons. Those using Bahadur Yar Jang Road will go from Gurumandar to Tower, take the route of Soldier Bazaar No. 1 Signal Coast Guard, Anklesaria Hospital Signal. From Sharea Quaideen to Naumaish Chowrangi MA Jinnah Road and those from the Society Light Signal, traffic should take the route from Ayesha Aziz Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi on the right and similarly from the Society Light Signal they take the route from Khudadad Colony Bridge to the Empress Market.

Commuters going from Fresco to Numiash Chowrangi can take the Eidgah Chowk (Dilpasand Mithai) route, along the post office on the left to Jubilee to Nishtar Road or from Tibet Center on the right to Regal Chowk.

Traffic from Fawara Chowk to Garden Nishtar Road will be moved from Fawara Chowk to Abdullah Haroon Road. Commuters can go from Paradise Signal to the left to Passport Office and on the right to the Empress Market.

Traffic from Garden Baghicha to Aga Khan Third Road can go from Anklesaria to Gul Plaza on the right to Tibet Chowk. The public is requested to choose alternative routes such as New MA Jinnah Road (from Saddar Dawakhana to PP Chowrangi), Nishtar Road (from Garden Baghicha to Lasbela) and Bahadur Yar Jang Road (from Gurumandar to Soldier Bazaar No. 1 Signal to Anklesaria).
