‘Youth to flourish through CM’s internship programme’

LAHORE : Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, Punjab, Muzaffar Sial said that the second phase of the Chief Minister Internship Programme is underway through which the talented youth of the province will get plenty of opportunities to flourish in multiple fields.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, Punjab, Muzaffar Sial expressed these views while chairing a meeting at Punjab Stadium. Director General Sports, Punjab, Khizar Afzaal, Additional Secretary Mian Usman Ali, Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza and other officials attended the meeting.

He said that Chief Minister Internship Programme is helping a lot in increasing the skills of youth and this factor will play a key role in getting them respectable employment.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Muzaffar Khan Sial said that work is under way on the development schemes for the promotion of sports and healthy activities throughout the province.

In the meeting, videos and documentary of the youth selected for the Chief Minister Internship Programme receiving training in various institutions such as Rescue 1122, Education Department etc were also shown.

The sports events of South Asian Games to be held in Lahore were also reviewed in the meeting.

Director General Sports Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry and Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza gave an in-depth briefing about sports development schemes, Chief Minister Internship Programme and South Asian Games during the meeting.

Besides this, 170 sports schemes and 135 approved and 8 unapproved schemes were reviewed in detail in the meeting.
