ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Friday reduced the average sale price of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) consumers by 1.81 per cent, while increasing it for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) consumers by 0.45 per cent for the month of January 2025, according to a notification by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

The revised prices, effective January 1, 2025, reflect adjustments in price differentials and delivered ex-ship costs. The RLNG price for the consumers of SNGPL has been reduced by $ 0.2330 per million British thermal units (mmBtu), while for SSGC by $0.0558/mmBtu, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) said in a notification issued here.

The new weighted average sale price for SNGPL consumers stands at $12.6667/mmBtu, down from $12.8997 in December 2024. In contrast, SSGCL consumers will pay $12.6014 per mmBtu, up from $12.5456. OGRA attributed the decrease for SNGPL consumers to a reduction in price differentials, while the slight hike for SSGCL consumers was linked to an increase in delivered ex-ship prices.
