ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday met JUIF Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence here to enquire after him.
Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and the overall situation in the country. They also exchanged views on measures for establishing lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the Kurram region. They discussed the arrival of aid convoys in Kurram. The interior minister said all stakeholders were taken into confidence for establishing peace in the region and some elements deliberately distorted the Kurram issue. He appreciated the efforts of a grand Jirga for improving the situation. He praised Maulana’s role in national politics.
