46 aspiring for 12 posts of addl judges SHC

According to list, six nominations are from the District Judiciary while 40 nominations are from lawyers

ISLAMABAD: A total of 46 nominees are aspiring for the 12 vacant positions of Additional Judges in the Sindh High Court (SHC).

This development came to light on Thursday when the secretary Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) informed the commission members about the candidates. The competition is expected to be fierce, with almost four times as many nominees vying for the available spots. The JCP will now scrutinize the nominees’ credentials and conduct interviews to select them on January 23 at 2 pm in the Conference room of the apex court.

According to the list provided by Niaz Muhammad Khan, Secretary JCP, 6 nominations are from the District Judiciary while 40 nominations are from lawyers.

The nominees include DSJs Suresh Kumar, Khalid Hussain Shahani, Mushtaque Ahmed Laghari, Ameer Ali Mahessar Ms Tasneem Sultana and Ms Munawar Sultana.
