CM inaugurates Police Facilitation Centre
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Wednesday inaugurated the Facilitation Centre at the East Cantt Police Station.
He inspected various sections of the Centre and received a briefing about the services and facilities to be provided there.The officials said the establishment of the Police Facilitation Centre was expected to ensure the provision of all essential police services under one roof.
These police services include police clearance, character certificate, foreign registration, Employee verification, domicile verification, missing and theft reports, tenant information forms, traffic information and driving licenses.
Important facilities like driving, learner, admission to police welfare, police recruitment, victim support and legal advice will also be available at the facility.The officials said the Police Facilitation Centre was an integrated and online system for the delivery of various services and facilities.
It was added that citizens could avail of these facilities and services online without going to the police station. This Police Facilitation Centre is the third such centre in the province. Earlier such centres were established in Nowshera and Charsadda. These facilities will be extended to other districts in the next phase.
The chief minister directed the relevant officials to set up such centers in all the divisional headquarters of the province forthwith. He said the present provincial government was determined to provide maximum facilities to the people in all sectors.
He promised to make the culture and overall environment of the police stations public-friendly.“The role of KP Police to protect the life and property of the people is commendable. The force has offered great sacrifices for peace in the country,” said Gandapur.The chief minister said the provincial government was providing resources to the police on a priority basis to meet its needs and align it with modern contemporary requirements.
