Drowning in plastic

Pakistan uses around 55 billion plastic bags per year. This large-scale use causes serious pollution, as plastic bags take hundreds of years to decompose and harm the environment, animals and even human health. People play a vital role in reducing the use of plastic bags. Simple actions like using reusable bags and throwing the trash in the right place help protect the environment.

To overcome this problem, people can use reusable bags. Additionally, the government can raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic bags and encourage individuals to adopt sustainable alternatives.
