Pak PWD proposes 60-125% hike in rental ceiling for federal employees
60% increase in rent has been proposed from Grade 11 to grade 22
ISLAMABAD: Pak PWD has sent its recommendations to the Ministry of Housing and Construction to increase the existing rental rate for monthly rent payment to federal employees.
In these recommendations prepared after a market survey, an increase of 60% to 125% has been suggested in the rental ceiling for federal employees from grade 1 to 22.
A 125% increase in the ceiling of Grade one to six has been proposed. Grade one to two rental ceiling for Islamabad is Rs7,029 to Rs15,815 and for Rawalpindi Rs6,591 to Rs14,830.
For Grade three to six employees, the rental ceiling for Islamabad has been increased from Rs10,980 to Rs24,705 and for Rawalpindi from Rs9,654 to Rs21,722. A 100% increase in the ceiling of Grade 7 to 10 employees has been proposed. For Islamabad, the ceiling has been increased from Rs16,403 to Rs32,804 and for Rawalpindi, from Rs14,682 to Rs29,364.
A 60 percent increase in rent has been proposed from Grade 11 to grade 22. The rent for Grade 11 to 13 has been proposed to be increased from Rs24,744 to Rs39,590 for Islamabad and from Rs21,462 to Rs34,339 for Rawalpindi and from Rs31,085 to Rs49,736 for Islamabad and Rs27,134 to Rs43,414 for Rawalpindi have been suggested for Grades 14 to 16.
For Grade 17 and 18, it has been recommended to increase the ceiling from Rs41,147 to Rs65,835 for Islamabad and Rs57,437 from Rs35,898 for Rawalpindi. For Grade 19, Islamabad from Rs54,704 to Rs87,526 and Rawalpindi from Rs46,816 to Rs74,906 have been recommended.
For Grade 20, from Rs68,700 to Rs109,920 for Islamabad and from Rs59,079 to Rs94,526 for Rawalpindi. For Grade 21, Rs82,261 to Rs13,1618 for Islamabad and from Rs71,107 to Rs113,771 for Rawalpindi have been proposed. For Grade 22, it proposed to increase the existing ceiling for Islamabad from Rs98,444 to Rs157,510 and from Rs98,444 to Rs142,768 for Rawalpindi.
