A significant drug smuggling attempt was thwarted by the Airport Security Force (ASF) at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson, 1.060 kilograms of heroin were recovered from the luggage of a passenger, Amjad Ali, who was scheduled to travel to Jeddah. The heroin had been cleverly concealed inside soap packaging.
The ASF personnel, demonstrating professional expertise, detected the drugs during a routine luggage inspection and arrested the suspect. Following initial interrogation, both the suspect and the seized drugs were handed over to the ANF officials for further legal proceedings.
