Two held for torturing boy

LAHORE:Lahore Police Thursday arrested two accused for torturing a 14-year-old boy. Ghalib Market police detained accused Javed and Asif for subjecting Sunny to torture. Sunny was employed at a house in Main Market, Gulberg, for the past four months. Police have registered the case and arrested the accused.

Meanwhile, Nadirabad Check post police arrested accused Tahir and Salman as they were involved in aerial firing and displaying weapons publicly. While, Qila Gujjar Singh police also arrested drug peddler Nadeem Masih alias Sohni and recovered 100 litre liquor from him.

Separately, Shadbagh police raided a warehouse and seized fireworks. Suspect Khizar Hayat was found to be illegally manufacturing and distributing fireworks in various areas despite a ban. Guldasht Town Check post police located and safely reunited 10-year-old Jason Masih with his parents as he had left home to play and lost his way back. From various parts of the city Dolphin Squad detained accused Nadeem, Majid, Shakeel, Mubashir, Rashid, and others, including five wanted fugitives. The suspects were wanted in serious criminal cases.
