Punjab edge Balochistan, Customs outclass KP

KARACHI: Three matches were played in the ongoing DHA 68th National Senior Hockey Championship at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium Karachi on Thursday. Punjab and Customs recorded wins, while the match between Army and Navy ended in a draw.

In the first match Punjab defeated Balochistan 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. Ali Raza and Nabeel scored one goal each. Mohammed Imran scored the lone goal from Balochistan. Hamid Ali of Punjab was declared man of the match.

In the second match, Customs outclassed KPK 3-0 in a one-sided match. Ghazanfar, Hamza and Ahmed Ali scored one goal each. Ghazanfar was declared man of the match. The match between Army and Navy ended in a 2-2 draw. Kalimullah and Wasim Akram scored one goal each. For Navy, both goals were scored by Rana Waheed. Zakriya of Navy was declared man of the match.
