Minister inspects uplift projects in Kohat
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam Afridi on Sunday visited Dhoda Sharif area his constituency PK-90 in Kohat to inspect work on the ongoing development projects.
An official handout said that besides inspecting other developmental works, he also reviewed the pace of work on Dhoda Road.He directed the authorities to ensure timely completion of all developmental works without compromising on its quality.
It may be recalled that the Dhoda Road was in a dilapidated condition for the last 30 years.During his election campaign, the minister had promised the elders of the area to build the road.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the provincial government was working on rapid development of Kohat and would spare no effort to serve the people. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam Afridi said unlike the past, decisions of public interest would now be made in the open court of the people instead of closed rooms and personal likes and dislikes.
He added that the developmental plan for his entire constituency would be determined keeping in view the local needs. He said that local committees had been activated to keep a check on the development projects and they had been asked to report irregularities or corruption.Aftab Alam said that the provincial government had a zero tolerance policy for commission and corruption and whoever was found involved in such practices would be taken to task.
